The Stevens Point Area YMCA is here to serve you. No one will be denied the benefits of the YMCA due to their financial situation.

 

General Information

Based on income, financial assistance is available to those who qualify, and are made possible through contributions to our YMCA Annual Campaign and support from the United Way of Portage County.

An application can be filled out at Member Services as well. Please bring along a copy of last year’s taxes or two current pay stubs, copy of Foodshares statement, and any other income sources, if applicable. Walk-in appointments are available. If interested in meeting with a YMCA Director, please call us at 715.342.2980.

If you have lost your job, or are in need of temporary assistance for any reason, the Stevens Point Area YMCA is ready to work with you. Please stop by the Member Services Desk and speak with a member of our team to discuss your options, or call 715.342.2980. 

 

For Refugees

 

We have provided engagement and connection to 20 refugees as they resettle in our community. This translates to almost $2,000 in financial impact to our refugee memberships and program registrations.

For Our Community

 

A total amount of $175,796.80 in scholarships was used for both memberships and programing, which equals a total of 2,329 scholarships.

For Our Future

 

We have supported youth-serving organizations by providing space and/or programming for their groups or events to over 453 youth.
