Leave a Lasting Impact: Legacy Giving at the YMCA

Through a legacy gift, you extend your values far beyond your lifetime, making a lasting impact in the lives of people you may never meet, but whose lives will forever be changed because of you.    Together, we can ensure the Y remains a safe welcoming space where all can thrive for generations to come.

What is Legacy Giving?
Legacy giving allows you to make a meaningful contribution to the YMCA through your estate, retirement account, or other planned giving options. These gifts often cost you nothing during your lifetime, yet they leave a powerful impact on the lives of those we serve.

Ways Your Legacy Can Make a Difference:

  • $50,000 could endow a scholarship fund, providing summer camp experiences for children whose families might not otherwise afford it.
  • $100,000 could fund child care scholarships for an entire year, helping families balance work and family life.
  • $150,000 could help care for and maintain our YMCA facilities, keeping them safe, welcoming, and vibrant for everyone who walks through our doors.
  • Gifts of any size can be directed toward areas of the YMCA that mean the most to you — from youth development programs to health and wellness initiatives for seniors.

Keep us in the know!

It is critical to let us know of your gift because many popular retirement plan administrators assume no obligation to notify a charity of your gift designation

By leaving a legacy gift, you’re helping ensure the YMCA continues to serve as a place where children can learn, families can thrive, and communities can come together for generations to come.
