We know that healthy lifestyles are achieved through nurturing mind, body, and spirit, well-being and fitness at the Y include more than just working out. In addition to exercise, we provide a variety of programs promoting healthier decisions–supporting physical, intellectual, and spiritual strength. Such programs include health and fitness assessment, medical referral program, diabetes management, LiveStrong, and many more!
LIVESTRONG® AT THE YMCA
(AGES 18 YEARS & UP)
This free 12-week exercise-based program is designed for cancer survivors who have become deconditioned and fatigued from their treatment and/or disease. The Y will empower you to improve your energy level and self-esteem, build muscle mass and strength, increase flexibility and endurance, and improve your ability to do everyday tasks.
SOLE TO SOUL EXERCISE PROGRAM
(AGES 18 YEARS & UP)
The YMCA Sole to Soul Program: YMCA Wellness Coaches assist with creating a sustainable personalized plan designed to increase quality of life for the participant.
It's individualized for not only your physical health but your mental health. The Sole 2 Soul exercise program is a free 12-week, referral-based exercise program designed to create an opportunity for individuals struggling with mental health issues to find support and hope by implementing a consistent health and wellness routine.
Our Goals:
- Implement a fitness routine that may, in conjunction with guidance from a mental health professional, may help to alleviate symptoms of depression, chronic stress, and anxiety.
- Increase confidence and autonomy when performing an exercise routine
- Improve quality of life
