We believe that family and community are essential to our programs and a big part of everything we do. We offer various family or special events throughout the year. Family time at the Y is about giving families as a unit, and as individuals, the opportunities to deepen relationships, develop new skills and interests, improve their health and well-being, and connect to the community. The Y has always been a place where families can play and be active together, and that’s more important than ever. Whether the activities are physical like sports or exercise classes, or more recreational like swimming and arts, we want families doing them together because you’ll live healthier and make memories for a lifetime.
FATHER DAUGHTER DANCE
Share an evening of dinner and dancing together. Each registration includes a keepsake photo, a flower for your daughter, dinner, and a formal invitation. Register by February 12 to receive your invitation by mail.

LEPRECHAUN HUNT
Leprechauns are taking over the Y! Get ready for a little St. Patrick’s Day magic at the Stevens Point Area YMCA! Our Leprechaun Hunt is back, and sneaky leprechauns will be hiding all around the building, just waiting to be found! Stop by Member Services to check in and pick up the event rules—no registration required. If you spot one (or many!) leprechauns, snap a photo and share it on social media using #stevenspointareaymca for a chance to win a prize!

BEGINNER IRISH DANCE ST. PATRICK'S DAY CELEBRATION
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a step of Irish charm! Join us for a one-hour beginner Irish dance class and learn fun moves in a friendly, supportive atmosphere. Perfect for all ages—just bring your dancing shoes and your holiday spirit! Youth ages 10 & under must have a parent or guardian participate. Parents only need to pay for their child. Whether you’re stepping onto the dance floor for the first time or brushing up on your moves, this class will have you ready to show off your Irish skills just in time for St. Patrick’s Day!
