We know life doesn’t run on a schedule—and neither should your workouts. That’s why the Stevens Point and Plover YMCA now offers 24/7, year-round access so you can stay active whenever it works for you!
At the Stevens Point Area YMCA location you can access our Wellness Center and Gymnasium. In Plover you can access the Wellness Center, Walking Track and Pickleball courts.
Your 24/7 access will work at the Stevens Point Area YMCA and the Plover YMCA.
How to obtain 24/7 Access
YMCA members may register for 24/7 access at the Member Services desk. Day pass users, guest pass holders, Nationwide members, and other short-term memberships are not eligible for 24/7 access.
The cost includes a one-time $20 key fob fee, plus an additional $5 per member per month for 24/7 access and usage.
Safety & Security
The Stevens Point and Plover YMCA 24/7 Access areas are protected by our advanced security & video surveillance system. Please note that this system does not provide staffing assistance for emergencies. As such, we highly recommend that you exercise with another 24/7 member when using our facility outside of staffed hours.
AED’s and emergency phones are located near the gymnasium and in the Wellness Center. A first aid kit is also located in the Wellness Center. In case of emergency, please call 911. For your safety, some parking lot lights will remain on after the Y closes. Please park in the lit area. Snow removal will not be completed until regular business hours, possibly later, due to certain weather conditions. During inclement weather, you may still access the facility after hours, but, as always, at your own risk.
Code of Conduct
The Y has a strict 24/7 Code of Conduct and Facility Guidelines based on the Y’s values of honesty, respect, caring, and responsibility. These guidelines are in place for the safety and security of our members, and the protection of our property.
Key Fobs
Your key fob is your after-hours key to 24/7 Access. Should you lose or damage your key fob, report it to the Y immediately. A replacement can be purchased for $20. To access the building, hold your key fob up to the fob reader at the 24/7 Access doors. You will hear the door activate and see the reader light turn from red to green. Pull on the door to gain access (there is a 5 second time limit). When entering and exiting the facility, please ensure the door closes behind you. Do not hold the door for anyone, as each person will need to use their own fob for access. This is important, as we monitor who is in the building at all times.
Key fobs may not be shared with others (including family). Members are not allowed to grant access to anyone else. Doing so is a violation of our policy and will result in permanently losing 24-hour access, and possible termination of your Y membership.
If a Y member fails to abide by policies, their 24/7 access, and potentially their membership, will be revoked with no refund given. Please visit Policies for Code of Conduct and Facility Guidelines.

How do members sign up for 24/7 Access?
You can apply for 24/7 Access at Member Services by filling out the 24/7 Access Agreement, Waiver, and Release, updating your photo, and setting up payment information.
Who needs to scan their key fob when entering?
All members 18+ must scan their own key fob upon entering. The door controller gives an audible beep when it registers the key fob for access.
What if my key fob is lost or damaged?
If you lose or damage your key fob, report it to the YMCA immediately. A replacement fob can be purchased for $20.
Will members only need 1 key fob per family?
No. Each Member, 18+, is required to maintain and purchase their own key fob to be able to access the facility after hours.
Do YMCA staff get a discount?
Yes. YMCA staff (all full and part time) will receive 24/7 access at no charge. Additional family members will be charged the $5/month if they wish to utilize. Key fobs for YMCA staff will be $10 for the first key fob. $20 for additional family members. If lost, a $20 replacement fee will apply.
Are Financial Assistance members eligible for 24/7 Access?
Yes. There will be no discounts on the monthly fee or key fob fee.
What if there is an injury/emergency during non-staffed hours in the YMCA?
We highly recommend that members exercise with other 24/7 Access members when using the facility outside of staffed hours. The YMCA will not have any staffing assistance outside of advertised hours of operation. There will be an emergency phone in the Wellness Center to use if needed to call 911.
What if a member with 24/7 Access lets a member without 24/7 Access into the SPYMCA with them outside of advertised hours?
Members with 24/7 Access cannot grant access to other individuals, even if they are a Stevens Point Area YMCA member and known to you. Granting access to another individual will result in the member losing 24/7 Access and possible termination of their YMCA membership.
What are the safety and security measures for the facility?
The Stevens Point Area YMCA facility is monitored by a video surveillance system for security purposes. Staff will review the video on a daily basis to address any security concerns and monitor for appropriate usage.
Why are you implementing 24/7 Access?

Can the key fob be erased by certain scanning systems?
Yes. This key fob could possibly be erased if the key fob was placed on a scanner at the grocery store or something similar.
